Dave Weldon, M.D., F.A.C.P.
Dr. Dave Weldon is a practicing physician and former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Florida’s 15th Congressional District.
Originally from Long Island, NY, Dr. Weldon is a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of VFW Post 453A in Rockledge. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from SUNY Stony Brook, he earned his M.D. in biochemistry at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine.
Dr. Weldon served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1994 – 2008. During his tenure in office he served on the House Appropriations Committee, House Science Committee, the Government Reform Committee and various subcommittees. His leadership in the House also included serving as Vice Chairman of the Science Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics, where he represented the interests of his constituents at Patrick Air Force Base, Cape Canaveral Air Station and the surrounding aerospace community. He is the co-founder and was chairman of the Congressional Aerospace Caucus.
